Tyler Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Kids Next Door, where he leads the strategic vision, partnerships, and programming that empowers young people to explore college and career pathways, engage in community leadership, and create lasting social impact.
A proud D.M.V. native and Georgetown University graduate (‘24) with a degree in Economics and Mandarin, Tyler’s background fuels his passion for providing exposure and opportunities to help shape young people’s futures.
Prior to founding Kids Next Door, Tyler worked in finance and wealth management, also serving as a financial consultant to college and high school student-athletes, guiding them in managing their finances and planning for academic and career success.
Driven by a mission to equip students with the tools and networks they need to thrive, Tyler created Kids Next Door to bridge the gap between education and real-world opportunities. Under his leadership, the organization has grown into a student-powered movement committed to community change through education, mentorship, and economic opportunity.
Fun Fact: Tyler is the author of Super Kidz Next Door, a children’s book that inspires young readers to discover their academic superpowers and believe in their potential.
